Family escape with burns after fire in Catlyn Close

A family are lucky to be alive after an explosion caused a fire in Catlyn Close, East Malling. The property on the ground floor of the flat had rear windows and doors blown out and front windows smashed
A large police cordon was put in place and along a grass area at the rear of a block of flats.
Scene of Crime specialists were called to the property and were seen taking images of the damage along with housing inspectors.
A boiler fault is suspected as the damage but this remained to be confirmed. Fortunately no-one was seriously injured
